Singapore 2010 Year of Tiger

For the Year of the Tiger, the Singapore Post issued on 8 January 2010, a set of 3 stamps and a collector's sheet. The stamps were for 1st local, 65 cents for Asian destination (Japan excluded), and $1.10 for Japan and the rest of the world.
The collector's sheet contains 2 stamps, with face values of $5.00 and $10.00, but it is sold at the post office for $16.80. These stamps are printed with transparent holograms, the hologram on the $5.00-stamp shows the morphing of an ox into a tiger - alluding to the transition from the Year of the Ox to the Year of the Tiger, while the hologram on the $10.00-stamp shows the morphing of a tiger into a rabbit, for the transition of the current Year of Tiger to the following Year of the Rabbit.
This is the third such collector's sheet issued by the Singapore Post, the first two issued in the last two years, starting with the Year of the Rat, and then the Year of the Ox. On the top left corner of the sheet are two ancient Chinese characters representing the word for "tiger".
The holograms on the stamps show up as shadows in my scan of the sheet.

APEC 2009 Meetings

This set of stamps were issued on the first day of the APEC 2009 meetings, 9 November. The 2 pair of stamps come with a gutter label featuring logos of the event, the stamps themselves feature various economic entities of Singapore.
The 1st local stamp features the view of the business district looking from the east, the green beize in the foreground is the Padang, a field fronting the City Hall and the law courts, at the western end of the Padang is the abode of the Singapore Cricket Club, the second oldest sports club in the city, established in 1852; to the south of the Padang (far left of the stamp) is the Esplanade Bridge.
The 80-cent stamp features a touristic night scene of the Singapore River, with a bridge linking the eating outlets on both banks of the river.
The $1.10 stamp shows an SIA (Singapore International Airline) plane loading up cargo.
The $2.00 stamp shows the container port of Singapore against the backdrop of the Singapore business district.

2009 Singapore-Indonesia Joint Issue - Tourist Attractions

This was released 28 October 2009, featuring tourist attractions. The 2 Indonesian spots are Singaraja City in Bali and the Beautiful Indonesian Miniature Park (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah). Singaraja City is represented by the Singa Ambara Raja statue, featuring a winged lion grasping an ear of corn. The Miniature Park is featured with an overview, seen from a cable car. The 2 Singapore scenes are found on the Sentosa Island, an integrated tourist spot, one showing the tourism mascot of Singapore, the Merlion, the other a view of the Central Lagoon, with a suspension bridge dividing it; the train is one of the means of transport to access the island from the main land.

A miniature/souvenir sheet was released in this issue, the sheet selvage features a stylised butterfly.

SG 2009 F1 Grand Prix Race Days Cancellation on PPCs

The SG F1 Grand Prix Race Day cancellations were all similar for all the 3 days. The difference being the date. I got each of of 3 pre-paid postcard in the set cancelled on a different day.

SG 2009 F1 Grand Prix PPCs & Collector's Sheet

The SG 2009 F1 Grand Prix prepaid postcards were released on 28 August. It comes in a set of 3, retailing for S$6.50 per set. The lower right quadrant of the scanned image above shows the reverse side of a card with the first day of issue cancellation. The 2009 F1 Grand Prix MyStamp souvenir set was released on the same day, it looks very different from the usual MyStamp sheet, in fact, we should be calling it a collector's sheet. It's different from the usual MyStamp sheets that usually contain stamps with the "Uniquely Singapore" motifs.

Posting box in SG F1 Grand Prix grounds

SingPost has set up a stand in the Singapore Singtel F1 Grand Prix grounds, selling F1 related postal items - the prepaid postcards, going at S$6.50 for a set of 3, postage valid for all over the world, and the F1 MyStamp souvenir set at S$39.00. And they also set up a post box for posting the postcards, items posted there were cancelled with a special dated cachet - 25 September for the first race day. There are two more days to the race, so there would be cachets with different dates, but I am not sure if the design would be different.
And the 2008 serialised F1 imperf sheet is also on sale at S$250.00 a piece.

Singapore - Philippines Joint Issue - Bridges 2

I got the Philippines FDCs of this issue from eBay, and don't they look good. The souvenir sheet issued by the Philippines Post shows another bridge at the bottom margin.
