The passing of Lee Kuan Yew commemorated on stamps from Liberia and Tuvalu

With the passing of former Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, stamp agency IGPC lost little time in the opportunity of commemorating the event on her agency countries: Liberia and Tuvalu released 2 souvenir sheets each on 25 May 2015. The Tuvalu issue maintained a more serious design, showing only photographs of Lee Kuan Yew, with one sheet featuring also the Singapore city skyline. The Liberian issue is more ambitious in the targeted audience, featuring photographs of Lee Kuan Yew and other world dignitaries like US President Obama, Queen Elizabeth of United Kingdom, and China President Xi Jinping.
